Projects
Each folder is a body of work I actually did, written up so you can check it. Findings are graded by severity. Anything still under embargo is blacked out until it is patched.
Experience
Two roles so far and neither one has "security" in the title. One of them has me handling student PII under FERPA, which is where I found out that most of protecting data is boring process, not tooling. The other was my own company, where I had to stand up the auth myself and then go find what I'd gotten wrong.
Personal Blogs
Longer thinking, not evidence. The case files under Projects are the graded writeups: ref, severity, root cause, patch. These are the posts where I work out what a whole class of bug actually is, or what a project changed about how I look at things. If it could be assigned a severity it belongs in Projects, and if it starts with "I" and could not be graded, it goes here.
Credentials & Skills
Six industry certifications, listed with the issued year. Every one is verifiable: Credly holds the issuer-signed badges and LinkedIn carries the same list. Additional certificates are grouped separately, since a certificate and a certification are not the same thing.
In Progress
Skills
- Working means I've used it to finish something real.
- Pending means I'm actively building depth in it.
- Learning means exactly that. I'd rather you interview me on the first column than catch me out on the third.
About Me

[ 4 × 5 ]
I'm a cybersecurity student at Coastline College, and most of what I know started with breaking things I already owned. I ran modded Minecraft and CS:GO servers for years before it clicked that a game server is just an attack surface with players sitting on it. That's the thread through everything here. I decompiled 400+ mods, found authorization gaps in 50+ of them, and reported every single one before I wrote a word about it on this site. I'm still early in this. I'd rather show you the work than a list of adjectives.

Disclosure Ethics
Everything accomplished above was done within my own systems without compromising any external devices, participating in illegal activities, or with malicious intent. All findings get reported to the developer or maintainer first, and any further testing I do afterwards stays private and is only for documentation. It all stays redacted until a patch is deployed for the vulnerability, or until the developer or maintainer gives me permission to publish.
Privacy and Accessibility
Privacy
This is a static portfolio. It never asks for or keeps anything that identifies you.
- No accounts, cookies, ads, or trackers that follow you to other sites.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits for me: pages viewed, the site that sent you, your country, and your device and browser type. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint, and only shows me totals. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the counter does not load at all.
- There is no session replay. Nothing records your clicks, scrolling, mouse movements, or keystrokes, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
- Apart from that counter, nothing loads from other companies. The fonts and images come from this site.
- Your browser keeps three display settings on your device: the theme, your Customize choices, and the tab layout. They never leave it, and clearing your browser data removes them.
- Like any web host, Cloudflare (kevinle.tech) and GitHub (banyourself.github.io) keep standard request logs such as IP address and browser type.
- Links to LinkedIn, Credly, GitHub, and other sites follow those sites' own policies.

Accessibility
I aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
- Everything works from the keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip link.
- Images have text descriptions.
- Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Customize has larger text, higher contrast, and a motion switch.
Something not working? Email kevin@kevinle.tech and I will fix it or send you the content another way. Security issues go through security.txt.
